April, May & June 2004

Quite a while since the last update one could think we're kind of lazy but in fact, we've been busy as bees working on new stuff, preparing our new set, new studio facility, new recording system, and new music material... ta da...

First things first: Music
We will start work recording the "missing" tracks of Symbiosys in July, hoping to have the Symbiosys album completed this fall (there's a fairly good chance we end up re-recording the existing material to benefit from the new Hi definition recording system)
2 New tracks are on their way, as ususal, we couldn't stop from including odd metering, powerful sounds and complex harmony. We will post exerpts in the coming weeks hopefully.
We are now using part of one of these new tracks as the Intro of our live set.
All this new material will be included in the next album due in 2005.

On the "Live Side"
We played on June 21st in France and our performance was quite well received, very encouraging feedback from the audience. Though we are prioritizing writing and recording of the new material, plus get the new studio working, we still have plans for future gigs scheduled for October time frame.

The Green Mill Studio renovation is on schedule and we'll post the link to the web site here.

March

Installation in the new studio is rapidly progressing (thanks to Florian's efforts) and should be fully operationnal in May/June time frame.
On a less positive note, Fred has decided to leave IGNEM for personnal reasons and other commitments. We are gratefull for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future... But we are very happy to announce that Franck Chavasse has joined the IGNEM family and is now the new drummer. So Welcome Franck!
Franck comes with a very solid musical education and Jazz drummer experience... The rest of us were inpressed by his skills and his ability to play a very broad range of music styles - a key element in our music. His bio will be posted in the Band section very soon.

February

We are very pleased to annonce that (at last) the SYMBIOSYS Pre-release album is out! This pre-release is limited to 500 copies all numbered and dedicated by each member of the band.
You can listen to all the tunes included in SYMBIOSYS in the Download section (by the way, it is available for purchase.. and yes we still have a few left...).
We are relocating THE GREEN MILL STUDIO (thanks Florian!) to the country side and will upgrade our digital recording capabilities to 24 tracks 24bit/192KHZ in March/April time frame. And for those interested in oddities... Fred just bought another 2 kick drums... (we are confident he will show up in the Guinness Book quite soon at that place).

January

The packaging of Symbiosys (our "long-awaited" demo) is getting ready, CD's are being burned and covers are printed.
We will have to sign and number each of them, so if you are interested by this exceptional collector item \\ Start making reservations! // they will be priced around 10 USD/8Euros.
On the live side, it looks like our first gig this year will take place in Lyon sometime in March.
Pierre, our web guru, posted really nice wallpapers this month (just check out the download section), tell us which one you like best and will publish the results.
